My Story
When I was broken, God healed and redeemed me.
From Trauma to Triumph
I know what it feels like when life doesn't go the way you planned.
I grew up carrying the weight of early childhood trauma, and as the years passed, the losses kept coming — six head injuries, debilitating chronic pain from car accidents, and the heartbreak of watching loved ones leave too soon. The hardest goodbye was my mom, a strong, faith-filled woman who lost her battle with breast cancer. This book is dedicated to her.
I was baptized at 12 and always knew God existed — but knowing about God and truly knowing Him are two very different things.
In 2001, everything changed. A head-on collision left me wheelchair-bound, unable to care for myself or my children. It took a year and a half to walk again. Just weeks after the accident, the world watched in horror as 9/11 unfolded in New York. My husband, a firefighter, felt the pull to go help — but he chose to stay and care for our family. He is my hero.
It was in that broken, desperate season that I cried out to God — and He heard me.
That moment became the foundation of everything. Through chronic illness, through B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, through every storm since, my faith has only grown stronger. God didn't just heal my body — He transformed my heart.
Into the Light: Trauma to Triumph was born from that journey. My mission is simple: to walk alongside women like you, inspire you to move through your own healing process, and help you build a personal, unshakeable relationship with God.
You are not alone. And your triumph is coming. 💜 🦋
Amazing Grace
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils, and snares,
I have already come;
'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me,
His Word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who called me here below,
Will be forever mine.
When we've been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we'd first begun.
